DESCRIPTION:This program has been cancelled.\nNature journaling is the practice of drawing and note-taking in response to nature. Through close observation, we notice details we may not have seen, we may record things we might have forgotten, and we improve our recognition and appreciation of different plant and animal species.\nThis workshop, led by science illustrator Rebecca Jabs, involves active outdoor participation. Following an introduction to the activity by the instructor, participants will record observations through sketching and note-taking. Participants will look for inspiration in the natural areas in the vicinity of the Nature Center.\nSupplies and paper will be provided for the workshop, but feel free to bring your favorite supplies and a sketchbook if you have one. It is highly recommended for participants to bring a brimmed hat/baseball cap, sunscreen, and a foldable camp chair. Dress for the weather.\nRegistration is required by September 7th. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to September 21st.\nCost: $25 per adult.\nIf middle school/high school aged students want to participate and adult must also attend and purchase a ticket.\nThere are no refunds for cancellations; substitutes are permitted. Refunds will be issued for programs cancelled by Bubolz due to low registration.\n
