Did you know that bats account for 20% of earth’s mammal diversity?! Worldwide, these superheroes of the night sky are responsible for worldwide pest control, seed dispersal, and pollination among other benefits. Jennifer Redell, WDNR bat biologist, will teach about the importance of these amazing animals and unearth the mysteries of Wisconsin’s bats. Join in to learn about the effects of white-nose syndrome on Wisconsin’s bats and learn how to encourage bats in your yard and neighborhood. Jennifer will be accompanied by live bat ambassadors, including a fruit bat native to Africa and a big brown bat!
