Summer Adventure Camps 2024

Registration will be opening:

Members: January 30th at 12 am (Family Memberships and Above)

2023 Campers: February 2nd at 12 am

General Public: February 6th at 9 am 

Presented by Community First Credit Union

We offer camps for children ages 4–12:

  • Summer Camp sessions for our Sprouts (ages 4-6) are available in morning and afternoon sessions. Children are welcome to sign up for both sessions and attend for the full day (we will supervise their lunch hour) or just sign up for a half day
  • Summer Camp sessions for our Saplings (ages 7-9) are full day sessions running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Summer Camp sessions for our Mighty Oaks (ages 10-12) are full day sessions running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

 

Camp Costs:

Family Members (and above) receive a 15% discount. If you signed up for a family membership after January 26th, you will be emailed the membership registration link as soon as we are able.  If you have not received it please email Erica at [email protected]

Sprouts (Ages 4–6)

  • Half Day: $70
  • Full Day: $120

Saplings (Ages 7–9)

  • $120

Mighty Oaks (10–12)

  • Camp (without the Dinner): $140
  • Camp (with the Dinner): $160

There are no refunds for cancellations, unless notified at least one month before the start of camp. Refunds will be issued for programs cancelled by Bubolz due to low registration.

SPROUTS (AGES 4–6)

June 11-13, 2024 | 9:00 – 11:30 am

Enchanted Earth: Sold Out 

The magic and mystery of the forests, ponds, and prairies will take campers on an adventure like no other. Nature will cast its spell and our imaginations will explore all the wonders the natural world has to offer.

 

June 11-13, 2024 | 12:30 – 3:00 pm

Aquanauts: Sold Out

Campers will become aquatic adventurers and learn about the many different aspects of our biggest necessity, water! We will explore the ponds at Bubolz, play games, and create crafts.

 

July 9-11, 2024 | 9:00 – 11:30 am

Wacky Wings: Sold Out

Birds, Bees, and Butterflies are some of the few pollinators that call Bubolz home. Pollinators are more powerful then we think, we need them for almost every food that we eat! Campers will go on an exploration searching for these creatures and learn why they are so important.

 

July 9-11, 2024 | 12:30 – 3:00 pm

Sensational Senses

Campers will put their five senses to the test, exploring the preserve like never before. We will adventure to the prairies, ponds, and forests playing games, completing crafts, and discovering the beautiful world around us.

 

July 30 –  August 1, 2024 | 9:00 – 11:30 am

Wild Kids: Sold Out 

Based on the TV show, Wild Kratts, campers will put on their super suits and explore the super powers of the wild animals that call Bubolz home. Each day we will be on the lookout for these incredible animals and their creature powers that make them unique and help them to survive.

 

July 30 – August 1 2024 | 12:30 – 3:00 pm

Habitat Hunters: Sold Out 

Homes come in all shapes and sizes. During this week, campers will go on a search for animal homes throughout Bubolz, exploring the ponds, prairies, forests, and even building their own animal homes using their creativity and imagination.

 

 

August 13-15, 2024 | 9:00 – 11:30 am

Doodlebugs: Sold Out 

Campers will expand their creativity in this art based camp. We will find art in nature and create our own masterpieces out of objects found in the great outdoors and use the beauty of the preserve as our inspiration.

 

August 13-15, 2024 | 12:30 – 3:00 pm

Muddy Mischief: Sold Out 

This camp is all about the ooey goey! Campers will investigate the muddy areas of Bubolz, looking for creatures that call these places their home, making some of their own muddy discoveries along the way.

 

 


 

SAPLINGS (AGES 7–9)

June 18-20, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Grossology: Sold Out

Campers will roll up their sleeves as they become grossologists, studying all things ooey goey throughout the preserve. We will turn over logs, dig in the mud, and go pond dipping searching for creepy crawlies such as worms, tadpoles, frogs, and insects, learning about their unique adaptations throughout the week.

 

July 16-18, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Outdoor Life: Sold Out 

What does it take to survive the great outdoors? During this week, campers will learn several outdoor skills including shelter and fire building, just to name a few. If you want to learn the skills for an ultimate adventure, this camp is for you!

 

August 6-8, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Building with Nature: Sold Out

Are you ready for a challenge like no other? During this week, campers will only use raw materials from nature to build shelters, rafts, bridges, toys, and so much more. Based on natural resources and sustainability, this STEM camp is an exciting addition to our summer programs.

 

August 20-22, 2024 | 9:00 – 3:00 pm 

Naturally Artistic: Sold Out 

Using nature as their muse, campers will create their very own masterpiece! We will learn about different forms of art found in nature, how we can use nature as our canvas, and explore unique natural spaces.


 

MIGHTY OAKS (AGES 10-12)

June 25-26, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm & June 27, 2024 | 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Outdoor Skills

This camp is for ultimate adventure seeker! During this week campers will get a chance to experience a variety of outdoor activities including archery, fishing, shelter building, and building fires. And on the final day, campers will end with a camp dinner.

 

July 23-25, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Best of Bubolz

Come and explore the best of Bubolz at this summer camp! Campers will go pond dipping searching for frogs and tadpoles, hunt for insects in the prairie, do some team building activities with fellow campers, create crafts, play games, and go on a nature hike.
