We offer camps for children ages 4–12:

Due to the nature of our camps and activities chosen for each age group, we do have a strict age policy. Children MUST be 4 prior to starting their first day of camp, and MUST be within the age range of the camp they are signed up for. 

 

  • Summer Camp sessions for our Sprouts (ages 4-6) are available in morning (9am-11:30am) and afternoon (12:30-3pm) sessions as half days.
    • If you would like to sign your child up for a full day of sprouts camp, you must purchase the two Sprouts sessions that week along with a lunch add-on.
  • Summer Camp sessions for our Saplings (ages 7-9) are full day sessions running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Summer Camp sessions for our Mighty Oaks (ages 10-12) are full day sessions running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
    • This camp includes a white Bubolz t-shirt with camp costs. 
      • If your child is signed up for the Outdoor Skills with camp dinner, the final day will run from 9am-6pm with the dinner. These extra hours will be spent doing activities such as archery, exploring, additional pond time, and setting up for dinner.

Summer Camp 2026 Registration:

Member camp registration opens February 17th at 9 AM.

Nonmember camp registration opens February 24th at 9 AM.

Make sure to purchase a Bubolz family membership by February 13th to have first access at signing up and to receive a 15% discount! Memberships purchased after that time will not receive the registration link and discount code until after the opening of camp.

Camp Costs:

Family Level Memberships (and above) receive a 15% discount.

Sprouts (Ages 4–6)

  • $65 for a half day camp session (AM or PM)
    • If you would like to do a full day of sprouts camp you MUST purchase a lunch add-on for each week of camp, and each camper.

Saplings (Ages 7–9)

  • $140

Mighty Oaks (10–12)

  • Outdoor Skills Camp (Includes camp dinner and Bubolz t-shirt): $180
  • Best of Bubolz Camp (NO camp dinner. Includes Bubolz t-shirt): $160

 

Cancellations and Refunds:

There are no refunds for camp cancellations due to any reason. It is your responsibility to read our webpage in full before registering for camp. Refunds will be issued for programs cancelled by Bubolz due to low registration.

If the camp is cancelled due to low registration you will receive a full refund or voucher for another available camp date. We must have at least 10 campers for a camp to run.

If you are a member of Bubolz, and are requesting a refund due to not utilizing the member code, no refund will be given.

If you are unable to attend camp due to illness, family emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances you will only be able to get a refund if the spot is able to be filled. Otherwise you can be given a voucher for a future public program or camp (not a fundraising event) in the next year.

Sprouts (Ages 4–6)

Aquanauts:

Session 1:  June 9th-11th | 9:00-11:30 am

Session 2: July 28th-30th | 9:00-11:30 am

Campers will become aquatic adventurers and learn about the many different aspects of our biggest necessity, water! We will explore the ponds at Bubolz, play games, and create crafts.

Activities for this camp may include:

  • Looking at animal biofacts
  • Critter catching at the pond
  • Nature hikes

Enchanted Earth:

Session 1: June 9th-11th | 12:30-3:00pm

Session 2: July 28th-30th | 12:30-3:00pm

The magic and mystery of the forests, ponds, and prairies will take campers on an adventure like no other. Nature will cast its spell and our imaginations will explore all the wonders the natural world has to offer.

Activities for this camp may include:

  • Insect catching at the prairie
  • Critter catching at the pond
  • and more!

Habitat Hunters:

Session 1: July 7th-9th | 9:00-11:30 am

Session 2: August 11th-13th | 9:00-11:30 am

Homes come in all shapes and sizes. During this week, campers will go on a search for animal homes throughout Bubolz, exploring the ponds, prairies, forests, and even building their own animal homes using their creativity and imagination.

  • Critter catching at the pond or prairie
  • Build mini shelters for glow animals
  • Explore the different habitats at Bubolz

Wild Kidds:

Session 1: July 7th-9th | 12:30-3:00 pm

Session 2:  August 11th-13th | 12:30-3:00 pm

Based on the TV show, Wild Kratts, campers will put on their super suits and explore the super powers of the wild animals that call Bubolz home. Each day we will be on the lookout for these incredible animals and their creature powers that make them unique and help them to survive.

Doodlebugs:

Session 1: July 14th-16th | 9:00-11:30 am

Session 2: August 18th-20th | 9:00-11:30 am

Campers will expand their creativity in this art based camp. We will find art in nature and create our own masterpieces out of objects found in the great outdoors and use the beauty of the preserve as our inspiration.

Muddy Mischief:

Session 1: July 14th-16th | 12:30-3:00 pm

Session 2: August 18th-20th | 12:30-3:00 pm

This camp is all about the ooey gooey! Campers will investigate the muddy areas of Bubolz, look for creatures that call these places their home, and make some of their own muddy discoveries along the way.

  • Exploring the world of worms!

Saplings (Ages 7–9)

Grossology:

Session 1: June 9th-11th  | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Session 2:  July 28th-30th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Campers will roll up their sleeves as they become grossologists, studying all things ooey goey throughout the preserve. We will turn over logs, dig in the mud, and go pond dipping searching for creepy crawlies such as worms, tadpoles, frogs, and insects, learning about their unique adaptations throughout the week.

Activities for this camp may include:

  • One craft per day- including slime!
  • Owl pellet dissections
  • Looking at animal biofacts while learning about tracks and scat
  • Critter catching at the pond
  • Build your own wetlands
  • Exploring the world of worms

Outdoor Life:

Session 1: June 16th-18th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Session 2: August 4th-6th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

What does it take to survive the great outdoors? During this week, campers will learn several outdoor skills including shelter and fire building, just to name a few. If you want to learn the skills for an ultimate adventure, this camp is for you!

Activities for this camp may include: 

  • Various games and ice breakers
  • One craft per day
  • Solar ovens
  • Geocaching
  • Critter catching at the pond and prairie
  • Nature hikes with binoculars
  • Learning essential outdoor skills such as safety, shelter building and fire building
  • Survival bracelets

Mammal Madness:

Session 1: June 16th-18th | 9:00 – 3:00 pm

Session 2: August 4th-6th | 9:00 – 3:00 pm

Love all things animals? Mammal Madness is all about, well… mammals! Campers will learn all about the mammals we have here in Wisconsin, even the ones who come out at night. Campers will also have the opportunity to learn how these animals survive in the wild and try to build their own animal shelters.

Building with Nature:

Session 1: July 7th-9th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Session 2: August 11th-13th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Are you ready for a challenge like no other? During this week, campers will only use raw materials from nature to build shelters, rafts, bridges, toys, and so much more. Based on natural resources and sustainability, this STEM camp is an exciting addition to our summer programs.

Naturally Artistic:

Session 1: July 14th-16th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Session 2: August 18th-20th | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Using nature as their muse, campers will create their very own masterpiece! We will learn about different forms of art found in nature, how we can use nature as our canvas, and explore unique natural spaces.

Mighty Oaks (Ages 10-12)

Outdoor Skills: with camp dinner

June 23th-25th | 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Camp Dinner)

This camp is for ultimate adventure seeker! During this week campers will get a chance to experience a variety of outdoor activities including archery, fishing, shelter building, and building fires. Campers will work in teams to try to complete and accomplish a variety of  “challenges”. And on the final day, campers will end with a camp dinner. Camp dinner is optional, but if participating, campers will stay the whole day form 9:00-6:00pm. We will have enough food for the camper and two guests of each camper.

Best of Bubolz: No camp dinner

July 21st-23rd | 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Come and explore the best of Bubolz at this summer camp! Campers will go pond dipping searching for frogs and tadpoles, hunt for insects in the prairie, do some team building activities with fellow campers, create crafts, play games, and go on a nature hike.
