Plan a Visit
No matter the season, it’s always the perfect time of year to plan a visit to Bubolz Nature Preserve.
Bubolz Nature Preserve is located on 488 acres in Appleton, Wisconsin. The unique blend of habitats at Bubolz includes both upland and lowland hardwood forest, white cedar forest, tall and shortgrass prairie, wet meadow, ponds, and streams.
Bubolz trails are open daily, year-round, from dawn to dusk. With over 8.5 miles of trails, the Bubolz trail system provides several options for hiking, walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
The preserve’s environmental center, The Lodge, can accommodate groups from 4 to 250 for meetings and events. The ADA accessible and sustainable building showcases plants and animals native to Wisconsin and features a small library with field guides and quick reference books. Kenna’s Kabin, an environmental themed interactive play area for children, can also be found inside the nature center.
Please help us ensure the same experience for all Bubolz visitors by following our preserve rules, along with information on professional photography.
