Scott and Gretchen Romenesko, from the Faith Technologies Team #1, were crowned the Ultimate Bubolz Survivors after winning the 24-hour competition at the Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve this weekend. Teams participated in various outdoor challenges that tested their outdoor skills, endurance and knowledge of the outdoors. The event raised over $25,000 for the preserves environmental education programs.

The program will be offered every other Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am starting September 8, 2016 and continuing until May 18, 2017. Designed to offer an environmental education component to your curriculum, the classes will include pond study, insect investigations, soil science, geology, maple syruping, winter survival, and many more. This is a drop off program created for students’ ages 5 to 12 with activities to match a variety of age levels. This family friendly event will be held on Friday June 3, Friday June 24, and Friday July 29 from 6:30-8:30pm. The event will begin with an informational session on the types of frogs found at the preserve and end with searching for frogs in our ponds. Cost for preserve members is $10/family or $3/person and non-members $15/family or $5/person. Pre-registration is required.
