Holiday Craft Open House, Family – Friendly

December 6th, 2025 | 9:30 AM -12:00 PM

Join us for a morning of fun arts and crafts to get you and your family in the holiday spirit! Craft stations will be set up around the lower level of our nature center themed for the upcoming holidays. These crafts will be suited for all ages, but adult supervision is required for this event. Our staff will be available to replenish any supplies while assisting everyone with the crafts they complete at their own pace.

The event will run from 9:30am – 12pm, however, please arrive prior to 11:30am in order to leave enough room for all of the crafts!

Holiday Yoga at Bubolz

December 14th, 2025 | 4:30-6:00 pm

Join us for a seasonal session of yoga with instructor Kelly Ellington, made possible through our Board Vice-Chair, Megan Biese, and her support of Bubolz and involvement with the Just Dance fundraiser! Afterward the session, enjoy some light, cozy refreshments!

Winter Solstice Hike- RESCHEDULED

February 6th, 2025 | 5:00-8:00 pm | Partnered School: Renaissance School for the Arts 

Join us from 5-8pm to enjoy the Winter Solstice! The shortest day of the year, and the longest night, is traditionally seen as a sign of light and renewal before the days begin to slowly start extending their daylight hours.

A self-guided hike, lit by the lights of over one hundred luminaires each individually decorated by the community.

This event is listed as a hike, however is weather dependent. Snowshoes and skis will be available to rent for a fee if snow allows (a 6 inch of snow is required in order to rent equipment).

S’mores and hot chocolate will also be available at the start of the trail for $1.00 each, as well as our bonfire.

The trail used for this hike is approximately 1.5 miles in length, and takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour to walk. Please allow enough time to complete the trail prior to 8pm. Luminaires will be blown out and picked up promptly after 8pm.

Cross Country Ski Clinics – CANCELLED 

January 10th: 9:00-11:00 AM | February 7th: 10:00-12:00 PM

Join a naturalist for a fun, family friendly cross-country ski lesson. Learn the basics: putting on equipment, falling down and getting up, ski techniques, and stopping. Includes Ski Rental.

Each participant will have some time out on the cross country ski trails!

 


Dog Sledding: Meet & Greet – SOLD OUT

 January 11th, 2026 | 2:00-4:00 pm

Meet Jim Feyen and his dogs from the Siberian Outpost. Jim will start out the program inside with a presentation about the history of dog sledding and what it takes to run a kennel and a dog sled team. If conditions permit, he may do a short run with the dogs. Finally, participants will be able to meet the dogs and ask any questions.

There will be NO RIDES.

Cost: $10 a person (4 and under free)

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration opens November 12th at 12 am.

Snowflakes & Steaks Meat Raffle

Saturday, January 17th, 2026 | 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Join us for a brat and burger fry in the Great Blue Heron Hall!

No registration required and open to the public. The event will feature a full bar, bloody mary’s, brews from local favorites Hop Yard and Stone Arch, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. Win meat, beverages, and more!

Doors open at 10:30 AM. Raffles pull from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

 


Frozen Family Yoga: Rescheduled 

Saturday, January 24th, 2026 | 10:00-11:30 AM

Inspired by the magic of Frozen, this playful, winter-themed yoga program is perfect for families. Enjoy easy-to-follow movements, lighthearted poses, and plenty of chances to get your bodies moving and warmed up while it’s chilly outside. No yoga experience needed—just come ready for winter fun! Join instructor Kelly Ellington for a relaxing seasonal session made possible through Megan Biese’s support of Bubolz and her involvement in the Just Dance fundraiser. We hope to see you there!

Yoga program will be one hour in length, followed with an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments afterwards!

Craft & Cocktail

Join us for the return of our popular Craft and Cocktail event, Thursday February 12th from 6:00-8:00pm. For this event we will be needle felting!

Come and learn the endless possibilities of this craft! Whether you are an expert crafter or a beginner, this is a great activity for all!

Everyone will be able to create ONE felt embroidered project on one basic embroidery ring.

 

With your $40 ticket purchase, you will receive the following:

-2 drink tickets per guest

-An individual bag of all the supplies you will need for your chosen design (with pre-selected colors)

-Light dessert bites

Pre-registration and payment required.

Candlelight Ski & Snowshoe

 ** RESCHEDULED** – February 20th (Previously January 23rd) | 5:00-8:00 pm | Partnered School: Houdini Elementary of Appleton 

February 27th | 5:00-8:00 pm | Partnered School: Sandy Slopes Elementary & Houdini Elementary of Appleton 

Come out anytime between 5:00 – 7:00 pm to snowshoe our 1 mile illuminated snowshoe trail or cross country ski our 1.5 mile illuminated White Cedar Trail. This event is a self-guided hike, lit by the lights of over one hundred luminaires each individually decorated by the community.

This event may be modified to a hike if there is a lack of snow.

There is no pre-registration for this event. Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe rental prices are listed below. They are on a first come serve basis. If you have your own equipment, there is a $5 trail fee.
