Girl Scouts: Insects

Join us for an evening insect hunt. Scouts will explore the prairie and ponds in search of late season insects. They will learn about life cycles, parts of the insect, and some of the more common ones found at the Preserve. Wear shoes or boots that can wet or muddy. This adventure will cover requirements in the Bug Badge.

This is a bimonthly drop-off program, which meets from Thursday, September 8th, 2022 to May 18, 2023 for a total of 18 classes. Class times are 9 – 11am or 1 – 3pm. The classes are designed for students ages 5 to 12. Classes will vary topics based on season and will be both indoor and outdoor. Mighty Oaks (Ages 10-12) Come and explore the best of Bubolz at this summer camp! Campers will go pond dipping searching for frogs and tadpoles, hunt for insects in the prairie, do some teambuilding activities with fellow campers, create crafts, play games, and go on a nature hike.
